👴 About me

Professionally I have a digital marketing background that dates back quite far. Yeah I am super old all things considered, so be nice, you should treat your elders with respect… or so I was told, back in my day, when I had to walk to school, 20km each way, uphill, also back and forth. The dark ages were brtual let me tell you.

So I am old, I work in digital marketing, but, while I will post the occasional article about that, my actual blog is only about my non-day-job escapades. Be it a new video I posted on YouTube and going into more detail in a blog post, outlining a new app or plugin I released, or updates on my progress on a certain project, all the way down to reviews and excitedly sharing new purchases I wasted my money on.

  • PC repairs and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth release looming

It has been over three weeks at this point, and I still don’t have either a replacement 3090 Ti or a RAM stick. We’ve reached a point where it will be sent out, but I had to send a photo of the GPU I have right now and I still don’t know how to package…

  • featured troubleshooting dwm.exe and nvidia gpu

For the past month odd my gaming PC has been acting weird. At first I thought it was a Monster Hunter World related issue, as that was when it kept happening, but then it started happening in other games, now it happens without a game even running and finally one of my two RAM…

  • Happy new year everyone. It’s time once again to explore some unusual culinary experiences. This time my wife (Mellisa) and I are diving into the world of pickles – but these aren’t your ordinary pickles. Join me as we recount our adventure with Van Holten’s Sour and Hot pickles, each offering a unique twist on…

  • While my keyboard arrived on the 19th of July, I didn’t really get to do anything with it until 1st August. For one, I was in hospital between the 18th and the 27th, a different story for a different day. But when I got back, my priorities weren’t exactly to go straight back into making…

  • Keychron Mice M1 and M3 YT Thumbnail

The M1 was and still is at the time of recording on offer, so I decided to buy both mice to test them out. The M1 model is about one and a half years old at this point whereas the M3 released this year. DPI and Polling Before I even start I should make you…

  • Featured learning a new skill

When it comes to learning a new skill, it can often feel overwhelming, especially if you’re trying to tackle something complex like a video game character. But by breaking down your goal into smaller, manageable tasks, and taking steps to stay motivated and track your progress, you can make steady progress and achieve your goals.…

  • MacBook Pro M2 Max feature

The new MacBook Pro M2 Max is here, but is it worth upgrading to? I am trying to convince myself why I shouldn’t upgrade to the M2 Max just yet and consider whether I should wait another 1.5 years before upgrading. The design for the M2 Max and Pro machines hasn’t changed, it’s virtually identical…

  • nreal Air feature

I was never really interested in Virtual Reality, it just never really looked right. And when I look at the Metaverse today… I don’t think it will look good enough in my lifetime, for me to become interested. I am however very excited about the possibility of a real Augmented Reality layer. So I bought…

  • How many headphones do you need?

I have a question for you. How many pairs of earphones and/or headphones do you own, or more importantly, how many do you actively use? Originally I didn’t really care about headphones too much. I just used whatever I had lying around, in my case those were my iPhone earbuds. As I started working out…

  • Gaming PC feature

As a Mac user, buying a gaming PC was a little weird at first. Mainly because I didn’t know what I was doing. In hindsight, I probably should’ve waited a month or so, because then I could have gone with a 4090 directly. But hey, hindsight is 20/20 after all, right? And other than the…
